Camp Counselor (Age 18+)
The Camp Counselor is responsible for the supervision of 8-10 children ages 6-17.
Above all, a Counselor must have a sincere and energetic desire to have a quality-oriented and consistent experience with children. Regular attendance and punctuality are a requirement for the position. Kimball Camp YMCA reserves the right to add or remove essential job functions. Counselors are expected to have a willingness to be trained in a variety of skills such as de-escalation techniques, swimming, arts and crafts, sports, games, music, storytelling, environmental education, and group activities.
Media Manager (Age 18+)
The Media Manager will be walking around camp capturing moments in every part of camp and during every program time (activity periods, meals, evening activities, etc.) with equipment that Kimball Camp provides. Main responsibilities include taking photos and videos of camp activities; sorting, organizing, and uploading pictures to online photo albums each day for parents to view; creating weekly highlight videos through DaVinci (or a similar video editing program); editing photos using DaVinci as needed; and creating social media posts through Snap Chat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
Waterfront Director (Age 18+)
The Waterfront Director’s purpose is to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of activities at the camp’s waterfront that are safe, fun, and appropriate to camper ages and abilities. The Waterfront Director will manage the physical operation of the waterfront’s facilities and equipment. The Waterfront Director will also participate as a member of the camp management team to plan, direct, and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions
