CIT Program

What is the CIT Program?

A Paid Position

The CIT program is a camp leadership program designed for children ages 14-17. CITs can expect 5 hours of paid work each day. Duties may include doing dishes, completing light cleaning tasks, restocking cleaning and program supplies, and assisting in other areas to help camp run smoothly. A pdf of the full CIT job description is at the bottom of this page.

A Customized Experience

Outside of paid work hours, you will spend time with an adult leader and other CITs enjoying a fun camp experience designed just for you! Canoe through our chain of lakes, complete challenges on our high ropes and teambuilding courses, climb our rock wall (Goliath), and participate in other classic Kimball Camp activities.

You will also be part of our leadership program, which is designed to help you develop skills in critical thinking, diligence, professionalism, teaching, and more. You will get to shadow adult staff in the areas of childcare, high adventure facilitation, outdoor education, waterfront observation, and more! We will also offer Y leadership trainings and certifications for those who are interested.

Apply for the CIT Program

We look forward to receiving your CIT application! Successful candidates will be contacted by May 1st.

The CIT Program includes a required week of training from June 6 - 9, and a commitment to work at least 3 additional weeks (up to 6 weeks).  Please see the CIT Job Description below for more information.
