When kids work hard to make their community a better place, Kimball Camp will work hard to make their summer amazing!
We want to provide kids with a new way to earn a stay at camp, and provide community members and businesses a new way to be involved in the process. The concept is simple: For every hour a camper spends doing meaningful work in their community, Kimball Camp will credit them $15 towards a stay at summer camp. All work done by a camper should be valuable to the camper, beneficial to the community, age appropriate and safe. Each community service project or business partnership must be approved in advance.
For summer of 2022, Kimball Camp is committing $10,000 to bring deserving kids to camp. You can help increase this amount by donating below.
Contribute using the donate button below and 100% of your donation will be used to fund Work Hard Play Hard scholarships. Or, make a check out to Kimball Camp for "Work Hard Play Hard."
Do something you believe in while earning your stay at camp. You dream it, you do it, and you get $15 in camp credit for every hour you spend. An accepted proposal is required in order to earn credit. Projects should be age appropriate, safe, and meaningful to the participant(s) doing the work. Campers are encouraged to volunteer with an existing organization and/or plan their own unique project!
Partner with a business of your choice. Their job is to provide you with a meaningful, age appropriate, hands on work experience, and match up to half the cost of your week at camp (Kimball Camp will cover the rest). Your job is to show up ready to learn a new skill while earning $15/hour in camp credit.
Work with your business partner to fill out an application for review by Kimball Camp staff.
