After college, Darrell came back to camp from 2008 to 2012 as a counselor, Waterfront Director, and Assistant Program Director. With over 20 years of experience at Kimball Camp, Darrell is honored to become the new Program Director. He has a passion for the outdoors (especially in Lake City at the family cabin), education, family and working with children. For Darrell, Kimball Camp truly is a place where, " Your feet may leave, but your heart never does." Camp has always been his home away from home, and a place to grow as a person and make many lifelong friends. Darrell is gearing up for an amazing summer and outdoor education season, and he is excited to work with a wonderful staff of people who truly bring out the best in others. Darrell is a diehard Michigan fan, as well as a lifelong Lions and Browns fan. For him, football season is always just around the corner...but first comes a great summer at Long Lake!
